Post published 7/1/19 – Amazon Prime Day happens July 15th and 16th this year. While Amazon’s kept a pretty tight lid on what’s going on sale those days they’ve also announced some early Prime Day deals on Alexa devices and devices with Alexa built in on their US site, with deep discounts starting on some devices today.
The special preview deals start today, with more coming in the lead up to Prime Day.
Note that you must be a Prime member and signed in to your Amazon account to see the discounted pricing.
Right now Prime Members can get an Echo Dot at half off, or take $100 off the 1 Terabyte Fire TV Recast DVR with four tuners. **7/2/19 CORRECTION** Note that the Fire TV Recast does not have Alexa built in, but it is Alexa compatible so with a paired Alexa device, it can accept voice commands.
On July 8th the price of the Ring Video Doorbell + 3rd Generation Echo Dot bundle will get a big price cut as well, so if that item’s on your wish list be sure to ask Alexa to remind you about it on Monday.
There are some limited-time discounts already available on subscription Amazon streaming services that work so well with our Alexa devices, but these are limited to first-time members.
Those lucky first-timers can get their first four months of AMU for just 99 cents, or a free first three months of Kindle Unlimited .
Audible newcomers have their choice of a discounted three month trial or a more deeply discounted year of Audible membership, and both deals come with an Echo Dot 3rd Generation
at no extra charge **7/2/19 CORRECTION** for one dollar.
