Post Date: 12/9/15 – Guided meditations can be used for mindfulness practice, help with insomnia, reducing stress and even improving health and lifestyle habits.
It didn’t occur to me until someone asked the question on the Love My Echo Facebook page, but you can use your Echo (or Alexa Voice Service on other supported devices) for guided meditations. There aren’t even any special skills to enable, I’m talking native functionality here!

Here are just a few of the more popular tracks and albums:
45 Minute Guided Meditation for Sleep (4.5/5 stars, currently priced at 99 cents, not Prime-eligible)
Goodbye Worries – includes 5 separate guided meditation exercises (4.5/5 stars, currently priced at $7.99, included with Prime Music)
The Secret Of Healing: Meditations For Transformation And Higher Consciousness With Deepak Chopra – includes 20 separate guided meditation exercises (4.5/5 stars, currently priced at $8.99, included with Prime Music)
Goodbye Anxiety: Goodbye Fear – includes 5 separate guided meditation exercises (5/5 stars, currently priced at $7.99, included with Prime Music)
Step Two: Buy The Meditation You Want / Add It To Your Prime Music Library
Remember, any digital content you buy or get free of charge from Amazon is automatically added to Your Music Library at time of purchase, and any Prime-eligible content can be added to Prime members’ Your Music Library free of charge.
Once it’s in Your Music Library, Alexa can play it for you!
Step Three: Meditate
Get into a comfortable pose, in a quiet space with no likely distractions and your Echo (or other device that supports Alexa Voice Service), and say, “[wake word], play [name of track or album].”
If your chosen track or album name is very similar or identical to some other audio content in Your Music Library, you will also need to include the artist/yogi name (as specified in Your Music Library).
That’s all there is to it! So break out that yoga mat, incense and some candles, or get ready to banish insomnia, and add yet another convenient and useful item to Alexa’s to-do list.
